Château de Chenonceau - Chenonceaux, France

If not France then where? You won’t find such splendid chateaus anywhere else! Explore its several gardens, including one tended to by Catherine de Medici, and enjoy the Renaissance architecture.

Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte - Maincy, France

Traveling up from Chenonceaux, we arrive at Maincy to see one of the most revered chateaus France has to offer. The Baroque estate was built for and resided in by Louis XIV’s finance man, Nicolas Fouquet, before he was wrongfully imprisoned for life. King Louis was so fond of the manor that he had its authors create the Versaille Palace in its likeness. Riddled with romantic fountains, the castle is now a prime matrimonial location! Consider tying the knot in the grand salon, one of the most coveted wedding halls.
